- A concrete threshold can be the trigger to finally act: seeing the scale cross 80 kg (177 lbs) and BMI hit 30 — after two years of failed diets, exercise, and intermittent fasting — was the moment to commit for real instead of postponing.
- OMAD (one meal a day) alone, while still eating everything at that meal and only coffee or tea in between, produced modest results — 4 kg (9 lbs) in the first month — and came with constant cravings and hunger even after eating; meal frequency alone is not enough.
- Don't quit at a plateau: when weight loss stalled, the choice was to stick with the diet, trusting that consistency would eventually break through and that a better approach would be found along the way.
- When progress slows, tighten the protocol rather than abandon it: layering keto onto OMAD after 40-45 days broke the plateau and dropped another 2 kg (5 lbs), reaching 72 kg (159 lbs, -18 lbs total) by day 75.
- Switching to carnivore did three things: eliminated daytime cravings, produced real satiety after the single evening meal, and sped up weight loss — bringing the total to 14 kg (31 lbs) lost in 96 days (80.2 kg down to 66.4 kg).
- Sequence the journey in phases: first cut all the way down to a lean goal weight (58 kg) to shed the fat and the inflammation it carries, and only then eat more — especially protein and fat — to build back lean muscle.
