The TRUTH About Hunger & Weight Loss (How to Fix It!)
Video · published 2025-03-11
- Don't try to eliminate hunger when losing weight — hunger is the signal that your fat cells want a refill, and to drop from, say, 35% body fat toward 25% or even sub-10%, you have to ignore that signal; it will be difficult, which is exactly why only about 5% of people look lean.
- Intermittent fasting (one meal a day) trains the body to expect food at a set time, so outside that window hunger is noticeably milder — still present, but not overwhelming.
- A keto (largely carnivore) diet makes the body fat-adapted, reducing insulin fluctuations and letting it draw energy from fat stores, which further blunts hunger between meals.
- Coffee in the morning is one of the best appetite suppressants; a splash of skim milk (minimal calories, negligible effect on blood sugar/insulin) or a little stevia is fine for taste, and green or black tea work as lower-caffeine alternatives.
- When hunger hits despite fasting, keto, and coffee, go for a walk — especially near meal time it is one of the most effective ways to ride out hunger.
- Expect difficulty and prepare for it: none of these tools make fat loss easy or convenient; they only make the hunger manageable while you stay the course.
